Two original documents, dated 1792, related to financial transactions between two soldiers and William Hall of Providence, Rhode Island in which each soldier signs over future payments due him in exchange for cash now from William Hall.

  • Benjamin Evens of Smithfield, Rhode Island, who had served as a soldier in John Topham's regiment
  • Josiah Allen of Attleborough, Massachusetts, who had served as a Corporal in the State Regiment commanded by Colonel Archibald Crary

Includes Continental currency in the amount of one third of a dollar.
